Sun Clad Basmati Rice from the foothills of the Himalayas has a delicate aroma and slightly nutty flavor.
Basmati rice is rich in minerals and therefor the perfect basis for conscious nutrition of everyday cuisine in India and Europe. Sun Clad Basmati rice goes very well with curry dishes.
How to cook Basmati:
1.On a kitchen stove:
Ingredients:
1 cup rice
1 & 1/2 cup water
Instructions:
1. Put the rice in a bowl and rinse with cold water 4 to 5 times.
2. In a medium saucepan or pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat and add the rice. Mix and season with salt.
3. Add the water and as soon as it boils, lower the heat, cover the pot and leave it with the lid closed for 15 minutes.
4. Remove and let it rest with the lid closed for another 10 minutes.
2.In an electric rice cooker:
Ingredients:
1 cup rice, washed
1 cup Water
Instructions:
1. Put the rice in a bowl and rinse with cold water 4 to 5 times.
2. Place 1 cup of rice and 1 cup of water in the electric rice cooker and press the "cook" button.
3. Once the cooking process is done, leave it closed for 10 minutes. Then open, mix carefully and it's ready to serve!
TIP: You can add salt, cardamom pods or bay leaves, for extra flavor when cooking.
