Description

Big leafed black tea, smoked over the smoldering roots of pine trees. For the smoked flavour lovers.

Lapsang Souchong gives a nice orange - reddish colour in the cup.

It has a robust and strong flavour and is often used as a blending tea. It can be drunk as a morning tea with a little milk, and is suitable for spicy and savoury dishes.

Preparation

Lapsang Souchong is brewed in a preheated jug. Do not boil the water for a long time, as you boil the oxygen out of the water.

Use 1 tsp. tea per cup.

Pour 95 degrees hot water over the leaves. Steep for 3 - 4 minutes.

As the tea leaves give best results by floating freely, you can use a spacious strainer in the preheated teapot or pour the tea into a preheated teapot.

Store in a dry and cool place. The tea should be stored in tightly sealed packaging.
